General Anaesthetic – What Is It?
Before administering a general anaesthetic, we will use medication to induce a state of controlled unconsciousness. This ensures that you will have no awareness of the procedure whatsoever. For patients who cannot remain still during treatment or who have conditions that make treatment intolerable, general anaesthesia may be an option. However, prior to considering this treatment option, we will discuss your suitability and require you to complete a medical questionnaire for assessment.
